Freedom is Just an Act of Forgiveness Away...

I wonder sometimes when I sit and listen to a client speak of family resentments, old arguments, misunderstanding from years past; all the baggage they insist upon hanging on to — When will they realize how much pain they are bringing upon themselves?

I listen and I ponder — and often times I will ask, “What would it be like if you let go of all the old family history of resentments? How would you feel? Would you feel lighter? What would happen to the energy every time you get together with relatives? Would there possibly be some room for laughter, deep listening, and enjoyment of each other?"

Sometimes it is very difficult to let go of old ideas that no longer serve us. Family grievances seem to stick like glue.

Some of us have trouble letting go of the need to be right. We feel very justified in our judgements of situations that happened long ago-or even yesterday.

Forgiveness is the most freeing, dearest process anyone can give to another or oneself. Forgiveness is pure love.

Surrendering the need to be right is huge. Getting quiet and listening to your inner knowing is the first step to being able to let go of an old pattern of making someone else wrong.

Even if there was hurt involved in the actions of another, there is room to forgive.

Some people take their upsets and anger to the grave. Perhaps all that angst and hatred is what sent them there in the first place.

My suggestion is to look within, ask oneself, “How much better would I feel if I let go of all of this and forgave myself and everyone else involved?”

I propose that if you look deeply enough, and listen to your heart’s longing, the answer will come.

I invite you to try it on if you are holding family problems in your heart.

Forgiveness is definitely divine medicine for the soul!

Out with the Old, In with the New - from the inside out

As 2016 begins, and we are all settled in after holiday time, many of us turn inward and begin to reflect on the events and experiences of the outgoing year.

Some make New Year’s Resolutions—certainly not a bad way to begin a new year.

I find that looking deeper, going into my heart consciousness and asking for guidance seems to help me create a vision for the coming year that is far more empowering then mere resolutions.

I begin by restating my core values, connecting with what makes my soul sing. I know I must live in the moment, trusting in the silence of my core. In that space, that wonderful silence, I feel myself expand and settle in, in the same breath.

From that space I am able to set intentions for the coming year. I write them down as if they have already occurred and then I release them to the silence. Somehow an intention has more clarity of purpose for me then a goal or resolution.

I would love to hear from those of you want to  connect with your deeper knowing and trust that the intentions you set from that place help you to be in the moment.

I am happy to work with any of you who would like some guidance with your 2016 intentions and core values. There is much power in speaking your intentions to another and being heard from a deep listening. Most of us are seldom heard that deeply by another.

All you need to do is to go to www.unlockyourheart.com and fill out the contact page.

I wish you all the very best 2016—filled with wonder, peace and mystery.

Robert Rabin
Recently Robert Rabbin and I collaborated on some sharable, inspiring multimedia graphics. The paintings are mine and the brilliant words are Robert’s. You can find out more about Robert, his books and his mentoring at www.robertrabbin.com. His book, The Five Principles of Authentic Living, is truly one of the best books around!

To download any of these you can click and drag an image to your desktop or right click and select Save Image As.

I love it when I am able to join forces with someone as wise as Robert. Collaborations are the best—working in teams of two or more—so fulfilling.

I learn so much each time I work with people like Robert, Heather Robertson, Ame Stanko, Dee Anderson, and so many others. How blessed I am!

Please enjoy these inspirational pieces and let us know what you think.

If Not Now, When?

11/2/2015

I have been pondering that question. If not now, when? It has been used often, in many writings by many authors. It is a good question.

There is only NOW—and then the next NOW—So many spiritual teachers speak of that fact. Over and over again I hear, “be in the now”—that is all there is.

I do believe it—and I know it to be true. I can’t go back and change my past-it is what it is—good, bad—all of it. I can certainly learn from it by not making the same mistakes over again. I can cherish the wonderful memories with family and friends. But I can not create a better past. I cannot create an awesome future either. I can only be here now—in every moment—creating step by step.

I can, however, look deeply inside myself—my core, my essence—and in that delving see that I am divinely created. I radiate that divine light in all that I am. I can own that and know it to be true. Once I claim my true heritage, my higher consciousness, my soul—I am in the moment—generating my being, moment and moment.

So it is now—and in the now I can be the best I can be because I am trusting I will be led—guided—always.

So I choose to live inside of my spiritual consciousness, in this moment and from each moment after this one. I choose to stand for others being their higher consciousness and living their core values—daily—each second—each moment-totally connected to their heart.I choose to stand for all women having a voice that speaks their truth without fear of persecution—or punishment. I choose to stand for children being educated and free of fear for their lives.
and so much more—because I know I can right now.

What do you choose to stand for now? Let me know in the comments below.

A Few Good Men

I would like to attract a few good men—men who are ready to jump into their personal growth—for their own reasons—how to become more authentic in who they are BEING and what they DOING ABOUT IT.

I would encourage reading and doing the work in Unlock Your Heart women would love to know a man who has his entire Package together—and I don’t mean his private parts-although if he is all together those do enter in (no pun intended)
relationships that thrive are based on being real—telling the truth—sharing the scary stuff—listening deeply and being fully present for everything—the sweet stuff, the gnarly stuff—all of it—all together—in one package—one Soul-Lit collection--

If you are a man reading this right now and it sparks something in you—please head right on over to www.unlockyourheart.com and buy Unlock Your Heart—and after you dig in and do the work, I would love to hear how it is going for you. I would be delighted to know what is working better, how you are listening differently in relationships—both work related and personal, and how you see yourself now that you are connected to what you value deeply.

And—I applaud you for being MAN Enough to admit and know that you could use some help being better at who you are. We all can use help!
